The Systems Engineering and Telecommunication Laboratory (SETLab) is a research laboratory at the Faculty of Technology, University of Boumerdes (Université M’Hamed Bougara de Boumerdès – UMBB), in Boumerdes, Algeria. SETLab focuses on research and innovation in systems engineering, telecommunications, and intelligent technologies.

The lab brings together professors, researchers, and students who work on modern technologies such as:

• Wireless and mobile networks (4G, 5G, IoT)
• Signal and image processing
• Automation and control systems
• Biomedical Engineering
• Embedded and real-time systems
• Power Electronics
• Smart grids and cyber-physical systems
• Artificial intelligence for communication and system optimization

SETLab supports both basic and applied research. It also helps students with master’s and doctoral research, and works with national and international partners from universities, industry, and government.

Our goal is to develop useful technologies, support education, and contribute to Algeria’s growth in engineering and telecommunications.
